The winding journey from Chiangmai to Pai
Chiangmai was an amazing place to hang out for a few nights giving a much different city vibe then Bangkok but it was time to move on. We decided to head further north to a small town called Pai. There are a couple travel methods to Pai from Chiangmai but only one long windy road. You can take a mini bus for 150-180 baht a person which takes about 3 hours or you can ride a motor bike taking 4-5 hours. Aya’s travel agency has an awesome deal where you can rent a bike on Chiangmai and drop it off in Pai and the agency will transport your bags in one of there busses. A bus is definitely a more safe way of taking the journey but a motor bike is very exhilarating. The road has an astonishing 732 turns wiving in and out of mountains, very step hills and very very sharp bends, one after another. A great way of completing this journey is to take the bus there and if you feel comfortable after seeing the road ride a motor bike back. Is s beautiful scenic road that is a must do not just for the journey but the destination as well, Pai Thailand.
